Lock-Down In Dakshina Kannada Till March 31: This Is What You Need To Know!

March 23: The state government has announced lock down in nine districts including Dakshina Kannada. On March 22, Sunday, first positive case of coronavirus has been reported in the district.

Dakshina Kannada Deputy commissioner Sindhu Rupesh has announced that the public is obliged to leave the house for any reason other than urgent and necessary work.
As per the instructions from the government, the following services will not be available till March 31: 
-Commercial complex, Malls, workshop,  Godowns, non-essential services, Interstate and Inter-district Transportation Traffic Services will not be operational.
-Restrictions on public access to beaches and tourist destinations has also been imposed.
The following are the services which will be available: 
– Food, Grocery Store, Milk, Vegetable, Grocery, Meat, Fish, Fruit Market, Shops, Newspaper,
– Police, fire services, electric, water, civilian services
– All Government Offices, Urban Local Bodies and Panchayat Raj Institutions Offices, Postal, Bank, ATM, Telephone, Internet
– Food Home Delivery, Medicine, Medical Equipment
