Modern Hightech Toilet Complex ‘Swachhangana’ Inaugurated at Udupi Krishna Mutt

December 26: Chief minister Yediyurappa on Wednesday inaugurated a modern hightech toilet complex ‘Swachhangana’ for devotees at Udupi Krishna Mutt. The two-floor complex was constructed by MRPL under its CSR at a cost of Rs 2 crore.

CM Yediyurappa said that complex is inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Swachh Swachh Bharat concept and promotes the ‘clean India’ message by the PM. CM Mentioned that this facility was necessary as tourists come here in large numbers.
The complex has two floors and each floor has are 12 toilets with six Indian and six western style commodes 12 bathrooms and four wash.There is also a sanitary napkin disposable unit and dressing room. In the gents section, there are 5 Indian and 6 Western toilets and 12 bathrooms. There are 4 washbasins and 14 urinals for gents. Around 5 lac capacity sump water tanker has been built at a cost of Rs 50 lac and a 20,000 liter capacity overhead tank has also been installed.
