‘StoPlastic Manipal’ Campaign by MAHE Students: Know More About This

October 12: The students of Manipal Institute of Communication (MIC), MAHE have initiated StoPlastic Manipal campaign  to make people aware about responsible waste segregation practices so that sanitation workers can recycle waste scientifically.
The campaign has got under way and intends to encourage consumers and shopkeepers to reduce consumption of plastic. And StoPlastic Manipal aims to achieve zero-plastic consumption in Manipal by both encouraging stakeholders to act and facilitate the change. The campaign StoPlastic Manipal had launched an aggressive digital campaign to highlight the prevalence of plastic in our lives. Groups of students from MIC were seen in the busiest areas around Manipal, wearing garbage bags over their heads and standing still amidst the passing crowd. The idea was show how the growing menace of plastic is “choking” us human beings.
