Timely Action By Mangalore Police Bust the Attempts Made to Sell Cocaine in the City

October 15: : Mangalore City police busted a drug peddling racket on Monday, October 14. Police commissioner PS Harsha said a drive was conducted on receiving a tip off that a gang has been making attempts to sell cocaine in the city.
A team of officers from City crime branch (CCB) and the cops from the Cyber Crime, Economic Offence and Narcotics (CEN) Station in a joint drive  arrested three persons while they were attempting to sell cocaine.
The arrested have been identified as Fasim Noushid (25), Mohammed Zaidd(26), residents of Falnir and Afzal Hussain (28), from Kunjathur in Kasaragod district.
The police team has seized 30 grams of cocaine valued at Rs 2.4 lakh. The police has also seized mobile phones and a Maruti Swift car. The value of total seized items is estimated at Rs 10 lakh.
Commissioner Harsha said that more accused are involved in the racket and the investigation is on to trace all other accused behind it .
