Two-Day Sangeethotsava to be Held on October 12 & 13: Music Lovers, Do Not Miss This

October 9: Two-Day Sangeethotsava has been organised by A V N Rao Memorial Trust, Kannada and Culture department and Dharmasthala Sri Manjunatha Swamy Temple. ‘Veeneya Bedagu—Veene Sheshanna Memorial Sangeethotsava’ will be held at Vasanth Mahal in Dharmasthala on October 12 and 13.
There will be vocal concert by Prof Aravinda Hebbar and team at 4 pm on October 12. He will be accompanied by Krishna Pawan Kumar on Mridanga. A veena recital by Dr Sahana will be held at 5 pm. She will be accompanied by B S Prashanth on mridanga and T N Ramesh on ghatam. A violin concert by A Kanyakumari and V Vital Rangal will be held at 7 pm, who will be accompanied by Jayachandra Rao on mridanga, N Amritha on khanjari and B Rajashekar on morsing.
On October 13, Balasubrahmanya and team will present a vocal concert at 3.30 pm. Dr Geetha Bhat will play the veena at 4.30 pm. Neela Ram Gopal will present a vocal concert at 5.30 pm and a musical concert by Ramakrishna Murthy will be held at 7.30 pm.
The Veene Sheshanna Memorial National Award will be given to A Kanyakumari. The award includes a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh. The V N Rao Memorial National Award will be given to Neela Ram Gopal. The award carries a purse of Rs 1 lakh.
Dharmasthala Dharmadhikari D Veerendra Heggade will give the awards at 6 pm on October 12.
