There has been an increase in Covid-19 cases worldwide, after which screening of patients arriving into the country has risen at airports. Mangalore International Airport (MIA), officials are randomly screening 2% of the passengers arriving from abroad, particularly those identified as ‘high-risk’ countries. Since December 16, MIA has screened more than 100 passengers. In addition to screening 2% of passengers selected at random, passengers arriving from high-risk countries such as China, the United States of America, Japan, and the Republic of Korea, are being tested.
