34 Mangalorean youth stranded in Kuwait: Hiring agency to fund their return ticket?

June 22: Manikya Associates, the hiring agency which recruited 34 youths from Mangalore to work in a Kuwaiti company in what turned out to be a con job, has agreed to sponsor their return journey from the Gulf nation.
The youths are stuck in Kuwait for the past six months with no job and money. Their plight can to light when their video went viral on social media. In the video they had mentioned that the Mangalore-based employment agency Manikya Associates had conned them with fake job promise.
Sources from Kuwait said those stranded inKuwait can travel to India after their visa is cancelled on production of the government permit letter. The visa cancellation may take 1-2 days, but the entire process may take not less than 7-10 days.
The 34 youths are expected to return back to Mangalore within the next 7 – 10 days.
