456 People Screened For Coronavirus In Mangalore: No Positive Cases Reported

March 18: Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner Sindhu Rupesh said that 456 people have been screened for coronavirus in Mangalore but no one has tested positive.

As many as 241 people are home quarantined in the district and eight people have completed quarantine period. Out of 14 samples sent for testing, 10 have tested negative in the district, she added. DC Sindhu said as per the directions of the Central government, all the passengers who arrived from Qatar, Oman and Kuwait should remain quarantined mandatorily for 14 days. A few of the passengers who have symptoms will be kept under observation.
Additional deputy commissioner Roopa mentioned that here are 10 quarantine wards and 6 isolation in Wenlock hospital, 167 quarantine wards and 120 isolation wards in taluk level hospital.
