Shifting Of Income-Tax Office To Goa: MLA Vedavyas Kamath Clarifies

September 16: Over the last few days, there have been reports that the I-T office in Mangalore will be shifted to Goa.
Mangalore South MLA Vedavyas Kamath clarified that the Principal Commissioner of Income-Tax (PCIT) office in Mangalore will not be merged or shifted to Goa office. MLA Kamath informed that there is a proposal to have a single person as the Chief Commissioner at both the offices and the news regarding the relocation/merger of the entire office is far from true.
