GPS in all taxis which are on Poll duty to avoid misuse.

The Election commission is taking all measures to to ensure hassle free & fair election. In connection to this, GPS will be fitted to all taxis used for poll duty to prevent misuse of government mechanism. This will track the movement of all the vehicles.
The district has hired 370 private cabs for election purpose. But the number of vehicles required is around 500. By fitting GPS to these cabs, the officials who are using these vehicles will not be able to misuse the cabs.
At the same time, the district administration has made provisions for the drivers who are on election duty, to caste their vote through postal ballot.
