Covid 19 Vaccine Dry Run to be Undertaken In Udupi District on January 8: Here Are The Details

January 8: In view of upcoming Covid 19 vaccination movement in the entire country, dry run of the drive is being undertaken in Udupi district on Friday January 8. This dry run is undertaken to test the efficacy of the preparations made by the district administration for vaccination.
The dry run will be held at eight centres across the district from 10 am at Koosamma Shambhu Shetty Haji Abdulla Memorial Mother and Child government hospital here. The drill will also be in operation at Dr TMA Pai Hospital, Adarsha Hospital, urban health centre, Karkala taluk hospital, Kandlur primary health centre Kundapur, and community health centres at Hebri and Brahmavar. During the dry run, all other aspects will be performed as per preparations except the actual vaccination. If any problems are found, the health department will take corrective measures.
In the first phase, COVID warriors will get the vaccination. Already over 19,500 have registered themselves for the vaccine in the district so far. They include private and government doctors, nurses, officers, staff and the D category workers. In the first phase, health workers will get vaccination twice and 44,000 doses are needed.
