Oxygen Plant To Be Set Up At Wenlock Hospital in Mangalore Within 45 days: Know More

Plans are afoot to set up oxygen plants for government hospitals in Dakshina Kannada district. During a meeting of oxygen suppliers, representatives of the Indian Medical Association and officials, Mangalore South MLA Vedavyas Kamath said that hospitals in Dakshina Kannada should not suffer due to oxygen shortage crisis at any cost.
MLA Kamath said that MCF has decided to construct an oxygen plant at the ESI and Bantwal hospitals with CSR funds. A large-scale oxygen plant will come up at Wenlock hospital to produce oxygen in large amounts. The plant will be ready within the next 45-50 days. This is an important decision by the district administration to prevent scarcity of oxygen in the future. Small-scale oxygen plants have been planned at the remaining two taluks, which will also be completed soon.
