DC Rajendra Issues Guidelines Which Have to be Followed During Eid Milad Celebrations in The District

Dakshina Kannada district deputy commissioner (DC), Dr Rajendra K V, has directed that Eid Milad should be celebrated in a simple way, complying with the Covid rules in force in the district. The DC has Banned mass processions as part of Eid Milad celebrations and any religious discourse which will be held as part of the celebrations should not have not more than 100 people. Mosques are allowed to hold mass Namaz by adhering to Covid protocols and incase there are more people, Namaz should be held in turns. Use of loud speakers or digital sound system is banned. Masks are mandatory and those above 60 years and children below 10 years are advised to hold Namaz at homes. No programme relating to Eid Milad is allowed in other auditoriums except in mosques,
