Garbage Handling Contract of Antony Waste Management in Mangalore City Extended Till July 2023

The contract of Antony Waste Management Cell Private Limited, which was handling solid waste of the city for the past eight years, is extended till July 2023. Though there was discussion over giving the waste management contract to new agency, contract of Antony Waste Management was extended as process was getting delayed. After July, it is decided to handle solid waste as per scheme that is approved under Bharat Mission Project.

A tender process is underway to collect primary waste collection and transportation in 60 wards of the Mangalore 4City Corporation (MCC) from August 2023. The last date for vehicle purchase tender is March 3. The vehicles that will be bought by the MCC will be used for collection and transport of waste. In the beginning, a year-long contract will be given. Based on satisfactory performance, one more year will be extended with conditions.
