Coastal Districts Likely to Receive Rainfall For Next Three Days: IMD Issues Yellow Alert in The Region
According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), parts of Dakshina Kannada, Udupi districts are likely to experience moderate rainfall in the next three days. The IMD has issued a ‘yellow alert’ in the coastal districts. According to the forecast, many places in Udupi and Dakshina Kannada districts are likely to receive moderate to heavy rainfall from March 15 to 17.
In the last few days the coastal districts recorded a rise in temperature accompanied by hot winds. Now, with the region likely to receive moderate rainfall the coastal districts are likely to become a bit cooler. The water level in the river is also likely to rise and result in giving some relief to residents who were in danger of facing drinking water shortage during the summer.
