Mangalore Street Food Fiesta is Back For Its Second Edition: Dates Announced.
Mangalore’s “Street Food Fiesta” held in March 2023 under the guidance of MP Shri Nalin Kumar Kateel and MLA Mr. D. Vedavyas Kamath was very successful by attracting lakhs of people, more than 150 food stalls participated and gaining massive recognition.
Motivated by that success, the public eagerly is awaiting the next Street Food Fiesta. Now that curiosity has reached its final stage and this time the second annual “Street Food Fiesta” will be held for five days from January 24, 2024. MLA Vedavyas Kamath informed about this while launching the Logo.
Logo released in unique manner:- The logo of the street food fiesta to be held in the city was made in a very unique way and it was released by the MP Mr. Nalin Kumar Kateel to the delight of the onlookers.
Venue and Time of Street Food Fiesta:- The festival venue will be from “Karavali Exhibition Ground to Narayana Guru Circle, Mannagudda Gurji Circle, Canara Urva”. Food items are displayed and sold daily from 5 pm to 10.30 pm. The festival will be held from 3 pm to 10.30 pm only on the last three days (Friday, Saturday and Sunday).
Shop Registration:-Last time more than 150 food stalls parcipated and more than lakhs of people participated. This time more than 200 plus food stalls are expected to come and inquiries have already started for food stalls. A website related to the food festival will be launched on November 20 and they will have to register their stores through it.
Come to Mangalore :- Tourism in the district will be given priority by planning to attract tourists from many major cities including Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore and even abroad which are directly connected to the city under the motto “Let’s come together and fly the tourism flag of Mangalore”.
Difference this time from the last time:- Seniors, children and those coming with their families are allowed to sit and enjoy the food. An additional children’s play zone will also be installed.
Cultural programs will be held simultaneously on many platforms during the festival. The festival will see participation from various sectors including hospitality industry, independent food suppliers, ice cream sector and home industry.
People from Gujarat, Rajasthan, West Bengal and Kerala living in the city will be displaying various food products of their state like last time. Horse riding, camel riding and vintage car exhibition will be held like last time. There will also be a selfie counter. Cultural programs include dance, singing, mimicry, magic show, instrumental concert, band music, fire dance, street circus, tiger dance and so on.
The two roads will be illuminated with attractive lights and colorful lanterns will be part of the beautification.
Birthdays and wedding anniversaries will be allowed to be celebrated on platforms. Food manufacturers were informed that they would be provided an opportunity to promote their brands.
Mayor Sudhir Shetty Kannur, Kudla Cultural Foundation Honorary President Shri Giridhara Shetty, BJP Mandal President Shri Vijayakumar Shetty, and Yatish Baikampadi were present on the stage.
