Tulunad Culture Goes Global: Yakshadhruva Patla Foundation Trust to Perform Yakshagana Shows in The US

A team of 9 artistes from the Yakshadhruva Patla Foundation Trust will travel to the US on July 9 to participate in the Yakshagana Abhiyana programme with the support of Puthige Mutt, Kannada Koota, Yakshagana Sangha, temples, and other organisations in the US.

The America Yakshagana Abhiyana will be held for 75 days in the USA. The team has selected mythological stories as prasangas for the yakshagana. The team will also present a show at Akka Sammelana. Prasangas of Devi Mahatme, Mahisha Vadhe, Veeranjaneya, and so on.

Trust USA unit president Dr Aravinda Upadhyaya, Dr Sridhar Alva, Mahabala Shetty, Uli Yogendra Bhat, and others have arranged programmes in major cities of 20 states in the US. The shows will be presented in Seattle, Phoenix, Los Angeles, Austin, Houston, Detroit, Maryland, Tampa, Milwaukee, Charlotte, Raleigh, Edison, Columbus, Boston, Orlando, Atlanta, Chicago, New Jersey, Dallas, and Richmond cities in the US.
