Red Alert Declared For Coastal Districts on July 6 & 7: Extremely Heavy Rainfall Expected
The Indian Meteorological department has declared red alert for coastal districts on July 6 & 7. According to the forecast extremely heavy rainfall is predicted during the period. Isolated areas to likely receive heavy to very heavy rainfall exceeding 204.5mm.
The forecast also predicts that rainfall will be accompanied with lightning & thunderstorm. The IMD has also issued yellow alert till July 9 in the coastal distrits.
