Damages Found on New Kulur Bridge Raising Serious Safety Concerns: Click to Know

A large hole has been discovered under the new bridge due to a lack of maintenance. In some areas, iron rods are exposed as the cement plastering has worn away. The plastering has deteriorated beneath the beams and other sections of the bridge. The constant movement of heavy vehicles over the bridge has caused damage to the underside due to vibrations raising serious safety concerns for commuters.

The new Kulur bridge, which was constructed in 1971, has not undergone any significant maintenance underneath since its construction. As a result, several damages have been found on the bridge. \

The concerned authorities have not yet started working on the repairs and maintenance which is much needed for the safety.
