The First Street Vendors’ Zone to be Opened Near State Bank Bus Stand: Know More

Mangalore city mayor Sudheer Shetty Kannur said that the first street vendors’ zone will be opened near the State Bank bus stand in the city soon.
The Mangalore City Corporation (MCC) has already identified the space, and work will commence soon to provide all facilities for the convenience of street vendors at the zone. Within 45 days, 123 street vendors will be allotted space at the zone near the State Bank bus stand.

“All remaining work to provide basic facilities for street vendors at the vending zone will be taken up from Friday. Many of the street vendors have come forward to accept the 18 conditions of the MCC,” he said. He said that the process to distribute identity cards for vendors will begin soon.
