Udupi Police Instruct Private Bus Operators to Install CC Cameras & Doors in All Buses by October 31.

The Udupi police held a meeting held at the Malpe Circle Inspector’s office on Wednesday, which was attended by bus owners and managers of private bus companies operating in Udupi city, several safety measures were discussed.

Udupi police have directed private bus operators to enhance passenger safety by installing CC cameras and doors in all buses by October 31. Moreover the drivers are prohibited from using mobile phones while driving, and conductors must treat women and children with respect. The bus crew must ensure that passengers are not allowed to travel on the footboard under any circumstances. Additionally, they were directed to remove shrill horns from buses.
