Udupi Tourism to Launch Three Exciting Projects For Upcoming Tourist Season: Click to Know
The tourism department of Udupi district is launching three exciting projects for the upcoming tourist season.
Kumar CU, assistant director of the tourism department, said that the first time, paramotoring will be introduced at Kaup Beach. The beach and the lighthouse offer a panoramic view of the Arabian Sea. The district administration has already granted a license to a private player to introduce paramotoring on the edges of the beach. It is expected to reach a height of above 150-200ft.
Sky dining will be introduced at the Trasi Maravanthe Beach. People can enjoy their meals at an altitude of 60-70ft, with stunning views of both the beach and river, set against the majestic backdrop of the Kodachadri hills. Supported by a single crane, the structure accommodates up to 16 guests seated around a central table. People can spend about 40-45 minutes.
Meanwhile, the tourism department is considering introducing solar-powered and electric tourist boats at Padubidri Beach. Tenders will soon be floated for this. The project got delayed because of the implementation of the model of conduct. Also, sea kayaking and surfing will be introduced. Water sports activities are likely to resume this week, based on weather conditions.
