High Alert Issued For Dakshina Kannada From October 16-19: Heavy Rainfall Predicted

A high alert has been issued for Dakshina Kannada (DK) district from October 16 to 19 due to heavy rainfall and strong sea waves expected in the coming days. The monsoon has returned with intensity across the state, with many regions, including the coastal areas, witnessing heavy rainfall.

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned of increased rainfall due to a low-pressure system. The Dakshina Kannada district administration has instructed fishermen to refrain from venturing into the sea. Additionally, the public and tourists are advised to avoid low-lying and waterlogged areas.
