Voting percentage of the specially abled was near to 100%

May 9: During the 27th annual convention of Dakshina Kananada and Udupi Zilla Vishishta Chethanara Sangha, Women and Child Development Department Deputy Director Usman said that in the recent Lok Sabha election, the voting percentage of the specially abled persons was near to 100%. Elaborating on the recent Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016, advocate Nitesh Shetty said that the law will help structure better reforms that will help the differently abled people. he even stated that due to this legal dimension they can avail of better facilities and provide legal
support in various situations.
Indian Red Cross Society, Dakshina Kannada, president C A Shantharam Shetty and Nitte Deemed to be University Pro-Chancellor Prof Shantharam Shetty also spoke during the programme.
