SVEEP committee uses radio Jingles to create voter awareness
The district Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) committee has come up with a new idea to educate and motivate people in rural areas to exercise their franchise in the upcoming LokSabha elections.
The committee has decided to play jingles on radio on the days of voting in the district which are on April 18 and 23.
Four Jingles are being played on the radio and one jingle has been sung in Tulu language requesting voters not to skip the elections by going on tours or picnics.
SVEEP Committee said that the radio jingles will be aired in order to reach out to listeners in rural areas which does not have proper mobile network. The jingles are already being circulated on social media platforms like Whatsapp, Facebook and Twitter to judge the response of the people.
