This Kambala Jockey Breaks A 30 Year Old Record: Hats Off For His Achievement

February 14: A Kambala jockey has created a new record as the fastest runner in the history of Kambala.
Srinivasa Gowda, a Kambala jockey from Moodabidri during the recent season took just 13.62 seconds to cover the distance oh 143 meters at the Kambala at Aikala village.

Srinivasa Gowda is a school dropout and works as a construction labourer when he isn’t racing or training for it. He has participated in over 12 Kambala races and in the recent race, he broke a record by winning in four categories. This was the first of a kind occurrence in the history of Kambala. From all of his races, he has won over 29 prizes.
