A Three Day Outdoor Transformational Festival Will Be Held in Dakshina Kannada: Click for Details

october 14: The Dakshina Kannada district is all set to India’s first outdoor transformational festival. “Bloom in Green Festival” is an eclectic mix of art, music, adventure and culture. This is a three-day festival which will be held at the Varanashi Organic Farm, Adyanadka, about 51km from Mangalore. The festival start from December 21.

Partha Varnashi of Varanashi Farms said that during his stay is Australia  between 2006 and 2012 he was introduced to WOMADelaide, an annual four-day festival comprising of of music, arts and dance and people from all over the world attend this festival.
Partha Varnashi said that he wanted to do something similar in India. He recently got in touch with the Bloom in Green team and has planned to have the second Bloom in Green festival at his farm.
Aswathy Radhakrishnan of Bloom in Green said that the first edition of outdoor transformational festival in India was held in Agumbe and were looking for another eco-friendly destination to conduct the second festival. They have now collaborated with Varanashi Farms. He mentioned that this is an alcohol-free event sending a strong message that one doesn’t need to get high to celebrate life. Bloom in Green is about transformation of an individual through sustainability community, art, adventure, music and mindful living. This is a plastic free event and conducts workshops on upcycled art, urban gardening, healthy eating, permaculture and water harvesting. Radhakrishnansaid that various community events such as drum circle, dress-exchange parties, community ecstatic dance sessions, group meditation onsite art projects and jamming sessions will be held. Art workshops will include visionary painting, dream catcher contact improvisation, light painting and graffiti. Sound healing sessions, tantric workshops, plant medicine and sunset ceremonies will also be held as part of mindful living.
