Administering Covid Vaccine: DC Rajendra Instructs Set of Rules to Health Staff

January 15: Covid vaccines have already arrived in the district on January 14, Thursday. Deputy commissioner of Dakshina Kannada Dr Rajendra K V said that the vaccine will be given from January 16 officially. During a preliminary meeting of Covid-19 vaccination camp, the DC mentioned that the process of administering vaccine will take place across six vaccination centres in the district from January 16.He has asked the concerned to exercise utmost caution to ensure there is no confusion in those who will be vaccinated.
Dr Rajendra instructed the vaccination centres should ensure to arrange drinking water facility, mask, sanitiser and thermal scanner in the vaccination centres and other necessary medical equipment. He also stressed that social distancing should be maintained without fail. He also informed the health professionals to take emergency treatment measures in case any beneficiary reports of any kind of uneasiness after receiving the vaccine.
