Alcohol content found in water cans supplied to Hospital: More about this

July 27: In a shocking incident, it is found that alcohol content was found in water cans supplied at Udupi’s Koosamma Shambhu Shetty Memorial Haji Abdulla Government Mothers and Children’s Hospital.
As per the sources, six water content cans were delivered to the hospital on May 13 by a person named Ajith. Out of the six cans, three were returned back as there was no lable on the cans. Remaining three cans were accepted by the Store Executive.
On the same  day a nursing supervisor and a nurse were making arrangements to fix a cylinder during which a few drops of water  fell into their lands. Since the sensation was very cold, they checked the humidifier which smelt like spirit mixed with water. The water was later sent to a lab in Bangalore and the report has confirmed that the water had 53.43% alcohol content.
A complaint has been lodged in Udupi town Police station regarding this matter.
