APMC Yard In Baikampady To Be Convert Into Full fledged Market With Hi-tech Facilities

August 31: Dakshina Kannada DC Dr Rajendra K V said that APMC yard in Baikampady will be converted into a fullfledged market by providing hitech and modern facilities. Cold storage facilities, godown to store vegetables and fruits will be developed soon.
The DC has directed the officials to prepare an action plan regarding the basic facilities in APMC yard. Using the funds from smart city mission, urban development authority and horticulture mission, good facilities can be provided at the yard, he added.
All the 44 traders who shifted from Central Market to APMC yard have been allotted with the stalls on a priority basis. The DC has directed officials from MCC to initiate action against wholesalers who carry out business outside the notified area and also against those traders who engage in wholesale business with a retail license.
