Ayodhya Verdict: Prohibitory Orders Under Section 144 Imposed in the City Till Monday

November 9: After the verdict on Ayodhya disputed land, as precautionary measure, prohibitory orders orders under Section 144 have been issued in Mangalore Police Commissionerate limits from November 9, Saturday to 6 am on November 11, Monday.

As per Section 144, no public meeting can be held and public is prohibited to form groups with five or more members. Mangalore Police Commissioner Harsha said that security has been beefed up across the city and  armed police personnel are guarding strategic locations to avoid any kind of conflict.
