Booster Doze Against Covid: Less Takers in Dakshina Kannada District

Dakshina Kannada district has received 100% success in administering first and second doses of vaccine but it is yet to gain pace for booster dose. The takers for booster doze in Dakshina Kannada district is very less comparatively. Booster doses are available in all PHCs and government hospitals for free. The department will make arrangements to administer the shots at the doorstep of the beneficiary, if they are bedridden.

Only 9.5% in 18-59 category, about 37.7 % of the beneficiaries above 60 years have been given the precaution doses and 60.9% of the frontline workers also have received the third dose. Meanwhile, 68% of the beneficiaries from the healthcare sector also have been administered with the booster dose.
