Brahmasri Narayana Guru Corporation: Here is the proposal

August 3: A delegation led by Kota Srinivas Poojary, leader of Opposition in Legislative Council submits a memorandum to Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa to set up a corporation in the name of Brahmasri Narayana Guru.
The delegation urged the chief minister to set aside Rs 100 crore for the corporation. Members of Ediga, Namadhari, Billava, Deeya and Theeya communities follow the ideals propagated by Narayana Guru.
MLAs Harathalu Halappa, Sunil Kumar, Umanath Kotian, Sunil Naik, Kumar Bangarappa, and Subhash Guthedar were present during the occasion.
Poojary said that the chief minister has promised to look into the proposal and they are hopeful that Narayana Guru Corporation will be set up by the government.
