Citizens Can Submit Applications to Make Any Changes in Their voter Id Till December 9: Click For Details
Dakshina Kannada deputy commissioner Mullai Muhilan MP said that the elector-population (EP ratio) in the district is 74.99% which is high. The district has 17,85,835 voters as per the draft electoral roll. There are 48,147 more voters as compared to the electoral roll of assembly election held in May. The electoral roll of last assembly poll had 17,37,688 voters.
A special drive will be organised on November 18 and 19, December 2 and 3 to enroll the voters. All the BLOs will be at the polling booths during the special drive. The final electoral roll will be published on January 5, 2024, after the completion of special summary revision of the list based on the voters’ enrolment qualifying date of January 1, 2024. Objections can be submitted till December 9.
Citizens may submit applications if their names are missing from the voters’ list or to delete the names of the deceased. Those who want to add their names to the voters’ list should submit a copy of their school certificate, birth certificate, Aadhaar card, passport, SSLC/PU marks card, PAN, or medical certificate to prove their age. To prove the residential address, they may submit copy of ration card, LPG cylinder receipt, electricity bill, bank passbook, passport, driving license, rent agreement or other documents. Those who have completed 18 years can submit applications through form No 6 and correction in the voters’ list may be done by submitting form No 8. Form No 7 may be submitted for deleting the names, said the DC, adding that January 1, April 1, July 1 and October 1 are the qualifying date for registering the names.
