CM Siddaramaiah Will Inaugurate The Bahu Samskruthi Utsava & State Games in Mangalore on January 17
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will be in Mangalore on January 17 to inaugurate the Bahu Samskruthi Utsava which is being organised by six language and cultural academies, and the Karnataka State Games 2025.
The Tulu, Beary, Konkani, Arebhashe, Kodava and Yakshagana academies, along with the Kannada and Culture Department, would be organising the Bahu Samskruthi Utsava at Kudmul Ranga Rao Town Hall in Mangalore. The event would be inaugurated by CM Siddaramaiah at 10 a.m. The academies have planned cultural programmes from their respective domains at the Utsava in Town Hall. The Yakshagana Academy would stage the Shree Devi Bhuvaneshwari, a Kannada Yakshagana authored by Chara Pradeep Hebbar, at 4.30 pm. The academies had planned different cultural competitions for people in Udupi, Dakshina Kannada and Kodagu districts. Prizes to the winners would be handed over at the Utsava.
On the same day, a cultural procession would be inaugurated by Karnataka Legislative Assembly Speaker U. T. Khader at the Sharada Vidyalaya premises in Kodialbail. This cultural procession would be combined with the State Games parade, which would culminate at Mangala stadium. Sportspersons, students, sports achievers from Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts would be among the participants of the combined jatha (procession).
Chief Minister will inaugurate the State Games at Mangala stadium at 5 p.m. The inauguration would be followed by attractive sound and light display, and a musical performance by eminent music director Guru Kiran and troupe.
