Commissioner Harsha Issues Guidelines On Traffic Diversion Due To CAA Protest: Kindly Note

January 14: A massive protest rally, opposing the Citizenship (Amendment) Act, NRC and NPR will be held at Adyar on January 15, Wednesday. The city police have guidelines for public in view of traffic diversion which will be in force from 9 am to 9 pm tomorrow.
As per these guidelines, Vehicles coming from Udupi and proceeding towards Bangalore should take diversion at Padubidri and go via Karkala-Dharmasthala to Shiradi Ghat. Vehicles arriving from Bangalore to Mangalore should take a diversion at Melkar-B C Road via Konaje-Thokkottu and proceed to Mangalore city. Vehicles going from Mangalore to Bangalore should take diversion at Nanthoor and proceed through Pumpwell-Thokkottu-Konaje-B C Road. One more diversion at B C Road Kaikamba for those travelling from B C Road to Mangalore via Polali Kaikamba.
Along with this, Police department has also handed out guidelines to the organizers and the participants in the event : All two-wheelers coming from Mangalore are to be parked at the ground in front of Jaguar showroom.
All cars and other four-wheelers coming from Mangalore to attend the convention need to park their vehicles at Seizure Beedi grounds.
All buses coming from Mangalore and B C Road have to be parked at Mohtisham grounds. All two wheelers coming from B C Road to the function should be parked at Kambli grounds.
All cars and other four wheelers arriving from B C Road should be parked at Adyar Katte Jumma Masjid grounds.
All police and emergency vehicles will be parked at Well Ring parking and Shankar Vittal parking.
Buses coming from B C Road and Farangipet side should be parked at Heritage Ground parking.
City police commissioner of police Dr PS Harsha has requested the public to extend their full cooperation.
