Countdown Begins For The Arrival of Prime Minister Narendra Modi: Mangalore All Set to Welcome The PM

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be in Mangalore on September 2, Friday. The Prime Minister is scheduled to address a public meet at Gold Finch grounds at 1 pm.  Home Minister Araga Jnanendra on Thursday inspected Gold Finch city venue to check the security and other arrangements made ahead of the Prime Minister’s visit. He was accompanied by MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, MLA Dr Bharath Y Shetty and district in-charge minister Sunil Kumar.

Mangalore Police have beefed up security measures for the prime minister’s visit. The DGP and ADGP will also be in the city for purpose of security. Close to 3000 police personnel have been deployed which includes ANF, CAR, DAR, RAF, KSRP to ensure that there are no lapses in security.

Dakshina Kannada District in-charge Minister Sunil Kumar who spoke on the occasion, said the number of people who will attend the Prime Minister’s meeting is likely to be much more than expected. Those attending the meeting should be present there by 11.30 or 12 noon and the Prime Minister’s address will begin at 1.30 pm, he informed.
