Covid 19 Treatment To Be Free In Private Hospitals In Dakshina Kannada: Minister Kota Srinivas Poojary

July 14: Dakshina Kannada district in-charge minister Kota Srinivas Poojary stated that all COVID-19-infected patients will be given free treatment in all medical college hospitals in Dakshina Kannada.
All COVID-19 patients including BPL families, APL families, migrant workers and those without a ration card, will be treated free of charge in the district’s medical colleges, the minister added. The patients can show their Aadhaar card at the hospital and get free treatment.
MP Nalin Kumar Kateel has instructed district authorities to file a case against hospitals that are charging more than the charges fixed by the government. He also mentioned that the public should be informed of the rates set by the government for COVID-19 treatment. If an emergency surgery has to be performed then it must be done without waiting for the COVID-19 test report, the MP added.
