DC Rajendra Warns to Take Stern Action in Cases of Animal Cruelty: Much Needed Decision

Dakshina Kannada district Deputy Commissioner Dr K V Rajendra pointing out at the recent incidents of animal cruelty, has warned of taking stern action if anyone was found inflicting cruelty on animal. While Presiding over the District Animal Welfare Association Meeting, The DC said that no one should stop rearing animals or birds for any reason including Covid. He stressed the need for segregation of waste as there have been instances of animals losing lives due to consumption of toxic and hazardous waste. SP Rishikesh Bhagavan Sonavane, DCP Hariram Shanker, MCC Commissioner Akshy Sridhar and others were present.
