Deep Sea Fishing Begins in Mangalore & Udupi After a Gap of Two Months

The deep sea fishing was banned in twin districts from June 1 to July 31  considering the breeding season of fish. Fishing season in the coastal districts has commenced after a period of 61 days on August 1, Monday. The deep sea fishing boats ventured into fishing. Labourers from outstation states, who go for deep sea fishing on purse seine boats, are also back.

Mangalore fishing port has 1,400 purse seine and trawler boats while Malpe and Gangolli have 2,166 of them.
