Demolition Of Central Market Building: Petition Dismissed By High Court

May 25: A petition was filed against Mangalore City Corporation(MCC) by Janardhan Salian against the decision to demolish the central market building and construct a new market under PPP (public private partnership) mode under Smart City Mission.

The High Court of Karnataka has dismissed the petition against this decision of demolition of the old building.
MCC Commissioner S Ajith Kumar Hegde said that two petitions were filed against the demolition of Central Market building in the High Court. Another petition was filed by traders of 14 shops in the Central Market, which is pending for hearing.
