Development Authority at Pilikula Nisargadhama Likely to be Effective From April: How Will it Work?

The Pilikula development authority which was proposed a few years ago will likely to come into force from April 1. Executive director of Pilikula Nisargadhama, Gokuldas Nayak said that the development authority will have 23 members, of which the district deputy commissioner will be the chairman of the development authority. A commissioner will be appointed for the same. The members will also include MLAs of Mangalore south, north and Moodabidri constituencies. The commissioner will manage the day to day affairs of the authority. In addition, the government will nominate experts in the field of wildlife, science, heritage, tourism and fisheries.
