Displaying Nameplates in Kannada on Buses Made Mandatory in Mangalore & Udupi

The Regional Transport Office (RTO) in the district has made it mandatory for buses operating in Mangalore, Udupi and Manipal to display nameplates in Kannada within the next seven days. The RTO has directed all bus operators to put up route numbers and destination on the nameplates in Kannada along with the existing English nameplates.

RTO has warned of stern action if the bus operators do not display nameplates in Kannada before the deadline expires.
