DK District Administration Issues New Set Of Rules For Incoming International Passengers: Check Out

August 13: The Dakshina Kannada district administration has issued a set of rules for all the international passengers who arrive at Mangalore International Airport.
As per the guidelines, all the international passengers must have an active Indian local SIM. New SIM cards are available at the airport so they can buy it there. They can use their own active local SIM if they have them or can ask relatives or family members to get an activated local SIM ready before their arrival.
Once the sim is active, the passengers need to install, register, and active login in respect of the three apps, Aarogya Setu, Quarantine Watch, and Apthamitra. The passengers have to keep their mobile phones and internet data continuously without any break. This will help the district administration to monitor their home quarantine, collect feedback and also to contact the passengers anytime during the 14 days compulsory home quarantine period. They need to follow social distance rules, wear masks, and sanitize regularly. They also must cooperate with the officials of the district administration for the free COVID-19 (RAT) test at the airport.
Any passenger violating these rules will be liable of being punished under section 51(b) of the Disaster Management Act 2005.
