Do Mangaloreans Go Only To MALLS? Why Are SUPER MARKETS Like More, Reliance Still Open?

March 19: Malls are closed as per the orders of State Governmennt due to the scare of Corona Virus. It is advised to stay home as the mass crowd may lead to spread of the deadly disease.
But in Mangalore Super Markets like Reliance Smart, More Super Market, Nilgiris and similar super markets are working as usual. The crowd here is above than regular days.
Pubs are also running like any other day and the weekend is approaching which will attract more crowd. Many people to have not taken this seriously and are ignoring the warning messages. There should be a total lockdown to make sure we pass this critical phase. Roadside vendors too have shut down but the restaurant are running their business high.
While speaking to Mr Nazir (Name Change), owner of outlet in a mall, said that ‘Closure of malls for weeks in bringing us loss as we have to pay rent, salary too employees but no business. Along with malls, other outlets should also be closed as a precautionary measure’.
Hopefully the district administration takes the necessary steps.
