Dr. Deepak Shenoy to be Conferred With ‘Inspiring Personality of The Year’ During GPL Utsav: Well Deserving

Renowned philanthropist and successful businessman Dr. Deepak Shenoy to be conferred with ‘Inspiring Personality of the Year 2023 Award’ by Kodial Sports Association on 11^th February 2023 at the 7^th Edition of GPL Utsav. Every year an inspiring personality of the GSB community is conferred with the award taking in cognizance the philanthropic activities and achievements in their professional life. In 2022, Dr. T. V. Mohandas Pai was conferred with the award.

Dr. Deepak Shenoy is known in the society for his philanthropic activities. He is one among those rare philanthropists who gets completely involved in ensuring that the needy are provided with the best possible help. Dr. Deepak Shenoy took the responsibility of securing health insurance of Rs. 50,000 per family of about 2,000 poor families. Dr. Deepak Shenoy is immensely respected in the society for his leadership skills. He strives to bring the community together by unifying the youth of the community and also generously donates resources at his disposal for the welfare of the society.

At a time when there are concerns expressed that youth does not take interest in the religious activities, Dr. Deepak Shenoy leads with example. Vasanthotsav Seva of Lord Vedavyasa, Kashi Math at Vashi Sri Balaji Mandir was successfully organized under the leadership of Dr. Deepak Shenoy. This is one among the several religious programs that has been organized under his leadership or he has taken active part in it. He also takes active part in various social initiatives taken up by the various organizations of the community.

During the Covid lockdown, Dr. Deepak Shenoy was one of the pioneers in the whole nation to supply rations to the needy. By 48 hours of the announcement of nation-wide lockdown, Dr. Deepak Shenoy had made arrangements to supply ration to the needy for free. He has also set up a trust which donates free mid-day meal to the students studying in schools the state of Maharashtra.

One more notable contribution which displays his innate love for the society is the taking up the responsibility of ensuring Remdesivir was made available to the needy patients when there was a huge outcry of the medicine being short in supply and prices quoted of the same going through the roof.

Dr. Deepak Shenoy, completed his graduation in commerce and pursued post-graduation in Master of Business Administration from University of Chennai.

A professional turned entrepreneur Dr. Deepak has more than 18 years of rich and varied experience in corporate finance, investment advisory, debt syndication, marketing pharmaceutical & API products. Dr. Deepak has served as the professional director of various companies including Kilitch Drugs (India) Ltd., Benzochem Lifesciences Pvt. Ltd., and Bharti Lifesciences Pvt. Ltd. As the marketing director of Benzochem Lifesciences Pvt. Ltd., Dr. Deepak Shenoy spearheaded the successful efforts of expanding the product portfolio of the company into East European & African Markets.

For his exemplary commitment in exporting pharmaceutical products to emerging markets, Dr. Deepak Shenoy was conferred with Honorary Doctorate by APJ Abdul Kalam University & Research Centre.
