Fake Order Issued in the Name of DC Creates Confusion in Mangalore: Complaint Filed

January 9: A fake order was circulated in the name of DC Sindhu B Rupesh declaring a holiday for educational institutions in Dakshina Kannada district on Wednesday, a day that trade unions gave a call for a nationwide band.
The order which went viral late on Tuesday, had created confusion in the minds of people. The confusion was evident even on Wednesday as there were queries from parents if schools were functioning for the day. The clarification issued by the department went a long way in allaying their concerns.
This has not gone down well with the district administration. Taking umbrage at this, DC Sindhu has directed her office to lodge a complaint with the Mangalore city police against miscreants for creating this confusion.
