FasTag Implemented In The State: Dakshina Kannada Tops The List In Collection

January 17: FASTag has been implemented across the country instead of manual payment of toll, and was made mandatory from January 15.
Dakshina Kannada tops with 65 per cent of electronic toll collection through the RFID-enabled tag.
As per the date received from the National Highways Authority of India, two out of three toll booths in the district have been collecting nearly 70 per cent of toll through FASTag. About a month ago (December 15) when it was first implemented, FASTag toll collection was just 15% in all three toll booths, and within a week, it jumped to almost 40%.
