Final Hearing Of Firing During Anti-CAA Protest To Be Held On August 11

August 8: A magisterial enquiry was ordered on the firing during the anti-Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) protest in the city on December 19 2019 which claimed two lives. Udupi district deputy commissioner (DC) G Jagadeesha, has been appointed as the magisterial inquiry officer.
He mentioned that anyone having any information about the firing incident or can appear personally at the office of the sub-divisional officer located in Mini Vidhana Soudha building at Hampankatta in Mangalore between
11 am and 1 pm on August 11 and no statements or evidences will be accepted from the general public after that.
