Four Checkposts Set up in Bantwal on The Border Areas Connecting Kerala
The state government and the Dakshina Kannada district administration has made RT-PCR negative report and testing compulsory for people arriving from Kerala. In connection with this, the Bantwal police have set up four checkposts on border areas connecting Kerala which will be checking commuters from August 2, Monday. As per the direction of the Dakshina Kannada DC, police officials have installed barricades on Saradka checkpost in Vittal. Necessary measures have been taken for screening commuters. Police have also taken measures in border areas of Salethur, Kanyana and Beripadavu. Altogether, the police have set up barricades in four places which connect Kerala. Those who have negative report of RT-PCR test no older than 72 hours will be allowed to enter Dakshina Kannada district. Students, professionals and others who commute to and fro across the border on a daily basis should posses RT-PCR negative report and ID card of the institution or their workplace.
